Pixls
Pixls are fairy-like creatures with special abilities that help Mario on his quest. Below is a list of them.
Tippi
Tippi is a Pixl introduced in the beginning of the game. She takes Mario to see Merlon in Flipside. Tippi can use a move called Tattle. When the Wii Remote is pointed at something circled in red, Tippi will give some information on it. When the game ends, Tippi goes far, far away to live a happy life with Count Bleck. A replacement Tippi called the Tippitron can be bought from Francis for 999 coins.
Thoreau
Thoreau is the second Pixl to join Mario. Thoreau is found in Yold Town, in the second level of Lineland. Thoreau was locked up in a treasure chest for 1,500 years. Thoreau can pick up most enemies and throw them at others. They can also hit switches that are too far away and can pick up blocks.
Boomer
Boomer is the third Pixl obtained in the game. Boomer has an eccentric personality. Boomer is found in Gloam Valley and asks a bunch of random questions when out of the treasure chest. Boomer can blow up enemies, bricks, and cracks in the walls. When set, Boomer will blow up after a couple of seconds but can also be blown up earlier by pressing the 1 button or setting it off with Bowser's fire breath. The explosion has no effect on the player.
Slim
Slim is the fourth Pixl discovered in Super Paper Mario. Slim is found in a secret room in Merlee's Mansion in a treasure chest. Slim allows the player to turn paper thin. This can be useful when wanting to hide from enemies, fitting in small cracks, and getting past moving spikes.
Thudley
Thudley is the fifth pixl discovered in the game. Mario and the gang find him at the bottom of Tile Pool. When jumping and pressing the 1 button in midair, Thudley will allow the player to ground pound. Ground pounding will pound down pillars solving several puzzles. Thudley will deal double damage to an enemy and times 4 damage with Bowser.
Carrie
Carrie is the sixth Pixl found in Super Paper Mario. Carrie is found locked away in a cage in Fort Francis. Carrie, as the name implies, carries the player across hazardous spike pits that are too wide to float across. The player can jump and Carrie jump along with the player. The characters can use their special abilities while the player is still on.
Fleep
Fleep is the seventh Pixl found in Super Paper Mario. Fleep is found in a restroom on the planet Blobule, searching for toilet paper. Fleep can flip objects like glowing lightning bolts and red crosses. Fleep can also flip enemies, stunning them for a couple of seconds. Fleep cannot flip things in 3-D.
Cudge
Cudge is the eighth Pixl found in the game. It is shaped like a hammer which is exactly what it does; it hammers down big, yellow blocks and enemies. Cudge is found in the Gap of Crag after the heroes set the 3 element tablets.
Dottie
Dottie is the ninth and last required Pixl in the game. Dottie is found hiding with a Cragnon hiding from the Floro Sapiens. Dottie has the ability to turn the character tiny therefore making it possible to fit through tiny holes in the wall and small doors that are otherwise impassible.
Barry
Barry is an optional Pixl in the game. To obtain him you must first defeat Francis, and then talk to him again. He will be out of a job since before he was giving out hints on how to get to Fort Francis. He will then ask to join the team. Barry can create a spiky barrier around the character, deflecting any projectile or enemy.
